We are officially one day past Thanksgiving — let the Christmas music commence! :) We are now in full-swing Christmas mode!
My Christmas music choices have changed over the years. Some of my all-time favorite Christmas albums include {don’t laugh} this one and this one, but over the past few years, my absolute FAVORITE Christmas music is Christmas worship.
In case you are looking for some new Christmas worship music to add to your music library, our favorites are listed below.
Our Favorite Christmas WORSHIP Music ::
Glory in the Highest
Chris Tomlin’s Glory in the Highest has been at the top of my list since it’s release. This is one of the first I found in a long time that transformed Christmas carols into worship music for me.
Listen to Glory in the Highest on Amazon or iTunes.
Adore
Because we loved Glory in the Highest so much, we were thrilled to learn Chris Tomlin was releasing a new Christmas album this year. We, of course, preordered it from iTunes and listened to each song as it released, keeping the songs on “repeat” once the whole album was out. Yep, I broke the “no Christmas music before Thanksgiving rule.” Even though this is Christmas music, it is worship music and these songs lead my heart in worship! This album is at the top of my list.
Listen to Adore on Amazon or iTunes.
A Day of Glory
I’m not sure how I first heard of Austin Stone. I’m not familiar with their other albums, but this Christmas one is worship-filled and on repeat around here.
Listen to A Day of Glory on Amazon or iTunes.
Where I Find You {Christmas Edition}
Even though it was released in 2012, this Kari Jobe album is new to me. The music is less Christmas and more worship, but the songs are all about Jesus our Messiah, the Savior of the world. If you are a Kari Jobe fan, you’ll love this one.
Listen to Where I Find You on Amazon or iTunes.
We Have a Savior
I love this Hillsong Christmas worship album. With a good mix of slow and faster worship, classic Christmas carols and newer worship medleys, this is a great Christmas worship choice.
Listen to We Have a Savior on Amazon or iTunes.
Behold the Lamb of God
A student gave me the album Behold the Lamb of God by Andrew Peterson over ten years ago, and it has remained one of my favorites. Andrew Peterson has a gift for storytelling through song, and this album is no exception. The title track, Behold the Lamb of God, and others like, Labor of Love, move me each year and give me a new, deeper understanding of the great Story of our Emmanuel – God with us!
