A Prayer for Strength in Difficult Times
As our world seems in chaos, our lives in upheaval, this prayer for strength (adapted from the parent prayer journal in our You Already Are Collection) seemed especially timely.
May this be a prayer we pray for ourselves, for our children, and for those around us. Then, may our prayer and strength through Jesus Christ lead us to action — to love and serve others well, to be the hands and feet of Jesus, to demonstrate a firm faith and faithful living because of the strength and power of our risen Savior!

Lord, you have made me capable and strong. Through the Holy Spirit and the Word of God, I am equipped and ready. I have everything I need to do every good work.
When I feel afraid, remind me, “I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength.”
When I feel outmatched, remind me, “I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength.”
When I feel unprepared, remind me, “I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength.”
When I feel insecure, remind me, “I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength.”
When I feel overwhelmed, remind me, “I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength.”
When I feel alone, reminder me, “I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength.”
Remind me, Lord, that my strength comes from you. I can do all things through Christ who gives me the strength.
