A new year and new beginning is fresh on the horizon, and as always, everyone is talking about new goals, new plans, and healthy habits.
You might love it or you may already be sick of hearing about everyone’s plans. However, just like a successful morning begins the evening before, a great start to a new year begins before the new year.
I want to help you have a great start AND a solid finish in the upcoming year, and I’m sharing two of my favorite tools to do that.
Grab a Planner
One of my favorite things about December is starting to plan for January. I know, I’m weird like that, but there’s just something about fresh starts, new goals, a brand new, blank planner just waiting to be filled in!
I have tried a different planner every year for the past 4 or 5 years. I’ve researched and shared about the BEST planners for busy moms, but no matter how many planners I liked, I was struggling to find one that helped me put God first and to plan my day from His leading and not from my to-do list. So I created one!
The Faithful Life Planner isn’t your typical planner. The focus isn’t on doing more, achieving more, or being busy. The Faithful Life Planner helps you declutter your heart, renew your mind, and steady your soul in Jesus while still managing your calendar and planning your day!
Find out more about the Faithful Life Planner or order yours now! (They’re selling quickly!!)
Whichever planer you decide on, buy one that will work for you. A good planner is worth far more than it costs, as it will help you keep organized, focused, and moving forward.
Set Some Goals
When I discovered Lara Casey and her amazing “ Powersheets” everything changed. You guys, I can’t even begin to tell you how these have impacted me. God continues to use these power sheets — in seasons when I felt overwhelmed, depressed, and reluctant to set goals AND in seasons when I’ve been ready to take on the world. Powersheets are some of the best goal-planning and life inventory tools out there for women. I buy a set every year.
The powersheets help me pray through and uncover what God is calling me to in a new year, set manageable, achievable goals, and finish many of the things I start.
I’ve already pre-ordered my powersheets for this coming year, and I highly recommend them to you all.

Question for you ::
How do you prepare for the new year?
Thanks for doing the giveaway!
Janice, you’re so welcome! It’s so fun to be able to give something away that I have found so much value in. I just wish I could give one to everyone!! :)
I’ve been eyeing these power sheets for about six months but they’re just not in the budget right now with baby #3 on the way in just 5 weeks. It’s all about diapers right now! But I would LOVE to win a set because I know I’m going to need more focus in the midst of the teeny baby months to get anything else accomplished besides showering and going back to work (both good things…but I’d also like to write a book with my husband and pursue other goals!). I also share your love of January too. Glad to meet you through Crystal Stine’s tweet today!
Congratulations on Baby #3, LeeAnn!! I can totally relate to the fog that is Baby’s first year — we just had #4 in June. :)
The PowerSheets helped me so much this year — not that I hadn’t already been a goal setter, I was, and I would prayerfully consider my goals — but Lara has a way of asking the right questions and leading us through the process. When I was feeling most overwhelmed and discouraged, God really used Lara’s Powersheets to help redirect my focus, my priorities, and my goal.
Hoping they can be helpful to you, too!! {and if you don’t end up winning, Lara has a great “goal setting” series on her blog from Jan. of 2014 that I found really helpful, too.}
Blessings to you, LeeAnn! So glad you came by!
LOVE LOVE being in a mastermind group with you. You are SUCH a blessing!!!
Right back at you, Friend!! :)
So do you order the iBloom as the printable and put those sheets in the same binder with the power sheets?? I don’t have either and can’t picture it. I almost got the iBloom planner, but I didn’t…now maybe I will…I love the look of the power sheets! Just want to know how you integrate them? For now my sticky note system is killing me…
I actually don’t put them together — or at least I haven’t b/c this is the first year I’ve ever used the iBloom planner. I ordered the already bound planner and have it, but haven’t yet received the 2015 powersheets b/c they’re on pre-order still (I think they ship Dec. 15). Not sure yet how I’ll incorporate the two.
Last year, I put the powersheets in a 3 ring binder but also wrote a lot of the answers in my journal b/c I like having the really important stuff there since I bring my journal with me so often and always refer back to it.
So turns out I’m not much help! I’ll let you know once I figure it out, though!! :)
